I always feel that this is a very "Malaysia Song"... Suits the mood bah.... Laid back, 70's , "traditional", 无忧无虑。　。　。　

A Short ３ D ２ N getaway to Melaka and Genting was really a deserving and 划算 one.
The wonderous Melaka food and an eye-opener for me, who has never steeped into a Casino nor Genting for over 29 years...

My fave is still Melaka...
Thank God its only 2 hr drive from S'pore, now i have more reasons (excuses) to drive up north just forteh food and of cos, the NIGHT MARKET!

Oh yeah, and the Fish spa/foot reflexology..
My first time trying that too...!
So shiok... and cheap... No need to fly all the way to get the fish spa, just RM50, it includes 45 mins of fish spa + 1 hr of foot reflexology.
Really damn shiok after walking one whole day/night!

Famous Melaka Chicken Rice Ball! Tho this one is not from the famous stall..., cos the famous one only opens for lunch... （that's chicken rice ball, not fish-ball)
I just loved their nighht markets.. Remins me of teh old Taipei style 夜市. Of cos, all Cheap cheap!

The streets of night market is very vibrant, thanks to teh many building at the back-drop. Also, Many "Huay Kuans" having Karaoke session at the same time.. This town , or rather , street, comes alive at night!

shiok, but ticklish....

What i like best, is that even after the night market has ended at 12-ish, thats when the Pubs along teh same streets packs the alley. Very cosy al-fresco and good 'ol fashion pubs, with local live bands. One side playing the ang moh songs, just opposite plays teh canto ones ...

Up To Genting on Skyway!!

My First time again, taking a Cable Car.. Believe its a longer ride than S'pore, and damn cheap lor.. 5 Ringgit only....

Onward to the "Gambling Den"! It's a Guys thingy.... hahaa

Seems encouraging that we managed to like have over 15 contacts amongst ourselves, and we are now looking forward to our BIG-O gathering in 30th May. To gather as much back as possible, for a "identification" reunion....

It's kinda frustraing when online banking is spposed to provide 24hr ease of internet transaction.Only when my luck is good, would i managed to access my statement on certain days.
Can you please look into this issue, as it has resulted in finance charges being incurred when I dont have the ABILITY to access my statement..?Isn't internetbanking supposed to served as a convenient tool for people like us to have the freedom to do online tansaction aytime of the day?
In the end, I felt that i am short-chabged, a victim of internet banking, with finance charges being piled up on me when i dont even have this accessibility to view my statement for the min payment arrangement.
I believe my April statement is due for my credit line, UNFORTUNATELY, I am denied access to view the statement!
I would not be pleased if i were to be slapped with another month of finance charges, when Citibank internet-banking facilities have a part to play for this delay in transaction..."

$53 Char Kway Tiao

Chicken rice at over $20 per plate is not new to many singaporeans.. Thanks to the Chatterbox @ mandarin Hotel.

Today, I tasted a $53 Char Kway Tiao..
I tried to skip expensive Jap food (that ironically would cost less than $20 bucks for a meal), and decided to go for cheap $3 Char Kway Tiao....

Ended up, the price become more Premium than the infamous chicken rice.
Not beocs there's Alaskan cockles in it.

But just normal Banana Leaf Char Kway Tiao at Maxwell coffee shop.
Yep, its SGD 53 for a plate, or rather, packet of Char Kway Tiao.

Oh.. its exclusive... It dont normally sell for $53.
Just that today, there's a darn "Fatimah" around that area.
So, the price of my Char Kway Tiao shot up to $53....

I HATE "Fatimah!!"

when i was trying to "retrieve" a paddle from a fren so that new rowers can use in the upcomign training, it dawned on me how things have changed.
Or rather, how things are "managed " in different organisation?

Remembered clearly how "hard" it was to attained the appropriate "level" to hold onto a Grey owl...
Only after 6 - 8 months training with the SDBA "steel" paddle, finally then attained the grey owl paddle.
But things changed now, i guess...

Probably it was a bid to attract and retain new rowers?
Worried the fact that pasing the SDBA "steel" paddle to newbie for the first few trail, and they will nvr return?
So, have to give them trail with the lightest possible paddle....
Or maybe its just so that newbie can be treated fairly, to start off with something easier and at the same footing?
That would be a more justifiable reasoning i believe.

Except for school orientation, I think its so hard to spot anyone holding the SBDA "steel" paddle recently..
Maybe that also explains why paddles are subjected to more frequent "wear and Tear" in the waters nowadays.....?

Cheaper holidays instead.

Porbably it didn't showed in everyone's faces, but I doubt no one is feeling abit the same as how i felt. Expecially those who went through the triumph of yester-year.
Seems like a 180 degree turn of event.
A big blow, and probably a good time for us to reflect.

Truly believe "You reap what you sow".
If we were to use the past as a bench-mark, guess we only sow 50% of what we had done so back then, and hence, its no surprise that we reap only 50% of the benchmark.


Can't really make out whats the root cause...
There is definitely (a) missing element(s) that contribute to the fall?

The aggresiveness? - It didnt showed on the boat. Not really...
The Hunger for victory? - It didn't felt like there was.
The thirst to triump? - Definietly wasn't there
The Complacency? - Who am i to judge?
The feel where 20 hearts beat as one? - Nope either..
The 'togetherness"? - . . . . . .

Probably those are the factors, and more?
There's too much of a difference...
Or, have we stagnant, while others progress?
Or simply, we have stepped back instead??!

It just didnt felt right.

But what was wrong?
I really dont know.
I hope something, somewhere, sometime and someone can have a formula to mitigate this.

Longer Weekends, shorter weekdays: Perfect Formulae

五月天：疯狂世界

I think i found the "formulae" to a "short" work week, and a slightly longer weekends..

Step 1: Start off the weekdays as normal, but cut the day real short by just turning in early.
Once you sleep, before you knew it, you woke up to a 2nd weekday!!

Step 2 : When friday arrives, get off early by "hook or by crook", and end the friday night Reeeeaal Late. works better if it drags past midnight on the clock...

Step 3: pull yourself (or rather, "entice") yourself to wake up real early on Staurday morning. eg, 8am. Then you have a longer Saturday to begin with....

Step 4: End you Saturday night real late, or just simply Nuah the night away. You get more satisfaction for nuah-ing away on a sat night then you gather from any weekdays night...

Step 5: End your sunday night late. Well, of cos, in a healthy manner. Eg, Nuah-ing in front of TV or Computer. Forget the "hang-over" effect to come on Monday.
Becos, Monday still sucks no matter how much sleep or rest you may have gotten on sunday.
Monday will always be Monday.
Face it, Shorten it!

And 'Wah-laaaa!", the perfect formulae for a longer Weekend, and shorthened Weekdays!

P.s., Results varies for each individual. Kindly consult your personal physician before taking on the above prescription.
It works well for me though... Hehhee....
