Was back in camp for a brief ICT yesterday doing a "dont-know-for-what-the-hell" purpose 8km route march. Not surprising though, it came from our good old "X-X-F"
They just do nonsensical stuffs.

Caught up abit with one of my platoon mate and reminded me again of this used-to-be and still aspired -to-be team in the vball arena.
The V-Team.
This was(and i believe still is) the enviable team to join, learn and compete.
Played a friendly once many years back, and their skills were so , "superb"!
Moreover its coming from a group of working individuals/students, that just got together for the love of the sports.

That reminds me... am I getting too distant from the sports?
it used to ba a weekly affair. sometimes twice a week.
Competitions are held almost every quarter.
But now,
Its at most once a week.
Competitions are held once/twice a year.
hmm....

Why ?

Why are we trying so hard to "please" these people?

Why have to be "extra nice" and pay particular attention to all these?

I'm kinda tired of all this.

If they dont bother to take the first step forward, why bother.

It doesn't really affect me.

why take on the extra chore for yourself if everyone could be self-motivated?

That's why it's never an ideal world.

Then why bother trying sp hard to 'create' one?

What would happen .... if?

Watched this very interesting "documentary" on Nat'l Geo TV yesterday.

About experiments on What would happen if this/that was carried out..
Skewing more towards physics/chemistry and also daily life chores....

Thsi one was interesting and spurs me to try it out...

A Right-handed was challenged to use her left hand as the master hand for daily chores.
Includes preparing food with non-masterhand, using your left hand (non-master hand) to carry out all task.
And the most simple for us who cant stayed away from PC, teh best way to start that is to put your PC mouse on your left hand side.
Try it, and in one months time, your left hand would be as good as your right masterhand.
Tested and proven on the TV show...

And research also shows that actually having your PC mouse on th left hand-side is actually more conducive for people who works with it 12hrs per day...

hmm.. let me try it, and hopefully soon, I can spike with left arm, and row on theleft , all with as much ease as my right...

Phiten Racing Series

Finally got an excuse for myself to spend extravagantly on this little wonderful 'equipment'.

Had the intention to get it after June race as a reward, but the results doesn't justify the spending...
With the satisfying results from July CCG, I got a damn good excuse (ahem: "reason") to pampered myself to this long awaited "reward"!

Actually intended to get another model less 'intimidating' in terms of price...(I could get an oakley with that price tag) but then again, beautiful things just attracts me... nonethless, its "power' is much higher..

haha.. I choose to believe it works for that price tag...

If i were in Japan, I could well get this at half price... But I can't wait to lay my hands , or rather, neck, on it...

I'm hooked to these like gals hooked to diamonds..

but at least this "thing" has health benefits hor... Or I choose to Believe?

The Day : Saturday

The Venue: Bedok Reservoir
The Event : Corporate Community Games - Dragon Boat Race
The Team: RBS Dragon Boat Team

A smaller scale Dragon Boat racing event, that involves corporate Teams, mainly Banks and Other corporate Organisations in Singapore.

14 Mens Team (10 crew) competing for the Men's Category, and 18 Mixed Team(10 Crew).

A day that will go donw in my history with pride and glory.
A small achievement by the Team, but its a testatment of the Team's committment, hard work, and more importantly, the Team spirit.

We were ousted after the Semis in the recently passed SDBF June race for the men's and clilnched a Bronze for the Women's.

After 2 weeks of intensive trg and sheer determination (determination to win as a Team), we were back in this Corporate Arena, and Clinched not one, but 2 Team medals.

RBS DB Team Clinched the Mens 10 Crew Champion and the one of the Mixed Team garnered the Bronze.
The joy and achievement does not lies in the title.
But the process of getting it.
It was filled with adrenalin, fighting spirts, Team spirits, Trust and beliefs.

The men's Gold was a roller-coaster ride "journey".
Got through the heats as a 2nd placing, but the performance was disappointing. We all felt we coudl have done better, but the body just too stiffs..
First race of the day is always the toughest and the worst performance one.
Never expect, our Semi race was even worst and disappointing... 3 secs longer than the first race...
That puts us up against 3 Exxonmobil team in the finals.
I't looks like they are sure to clincheed the 3 metals colour for this category...
Being the 'underdog' in the Finals alongside with Keppel-lite, the Team was determined to glide past them all.
It's not wishful thinking, it's not baseless "hope", but you see the determination in everyone's eyes.

You see it in everyone's stroke.
We pushed off well, power and speed, and we tell ourself never to be left behind, or that's teh end...
in less than 82 secs, Team RBS Men's Team killed all 3 Exxon.
I know it sounds cruel, but that's the greatest joy in the win. We "killed' all their 3 chances of a gold medal.

The synergy of Team work, it was great, it was wonderful, it shows...
Thanks for the first medal, and making the colour shines....

It was since dont know how many many months i last caught any movie on the big screen..
And Friday was a real treat to the well -acclaimed chinese film, 赤壁.
150mins (2hr 15 mins to be exact) and yet you dont find it that Draggy at all!!
If you think it's another Boring Chinese Literature retold, or another long and draggy 十面埋伏，think again.

This is one of the best made chinese ancient movie ever in my A-List..
Despite my very "private limited" knowledge on ancient chinese history, this show definitely never bores me for a second at all!
Wonderful Cast, great story, exciting battle scences and strategies....

I'm gonna catch the sequel man!

6 hours of continuous training fo rthe first time, and i guess should be the last taht I'll see..?
2hrs normal trg, followed by 4 hours race set ...
I think i did more 300m race sets than I ever did for the past 2 years?

We should be fully and well-pepared for the coming sat race, but I don't have a very good feel still...
On paper, it looks like our chances are definitely much better than last week.. It almost seemed like a "sure-win".

Just don't know why, I have more reservation on the possible outcome this time...
