Not a good day today....
First, It started raining when we were gathered at Seah Im Food centere ready to go into Sentosa for Beach Vball...
Bo Bian, have to cancel it.... -_-

Trg today was split into 2 boats. One Men's and one Women's.
It was kinda fine at first.
I "keng" abit and avoided the Back-pack seats this week. Quickly stand in the Mid-pack section.
heng, coach didnt ask me go behind, cos there were more than enuff 'Big Engines" at the back.... I thought....

Suay suay, when we start training proper, from mid pack, kena asked to be pacer for back-pack group.... Kaoz... Pacing is my weakest link..

Still can "smoke" through abit.
What's bad is, there is this team mate that just joined after a long departure, and was swapped with me and sat infront of me. All seems happily-ever-after until pace picked up, timing was out and keep clashing.... Just when i wanted to inform him, best thing is, he was telling the guy infront that the timing was out!
OMG! Obviously we can see who's timing was out!If your left, front and back guys are insync, and u are out, you wouldn't say the person in front of u have a "too fast" stroke rate right?
Isn't it Obvious....?!
Maybe we all are too fast and couldn't sync with you?
Best! Like that also can....
Not once, not twice, but just throughout the row. That's torture man....

Just when i thought that was bad enuff for my day, the ultimate happens....
After close to 2 years of training/rows, my that piece of wood kena the worst faith ever!
Immediately my heart sank as though the Titanic hit the ice-berg, but at a much faster rate...

Should be quite obvious how's the damage... *Sad*! That's how bad it is... *Double Sadness!* I cannot imagine this can ever happen lor...
A very very bad dent exposing the wood and water seeping in!
All thanks to first time speed rowing with 16 different timings in one boat and rower too eager to put all his might into every dip even when timing is so chaotic lor...
End up, my wood kena "Cham" by the wood at the back.
Just feel that its not right to do speed rowing without any prior training on that. Sure clash like mad...
(Well, I'm just a rower, I'll just do what the coach asked. Maybe its just a test to let everyone have a feel of high-speed rowing. Still..... *sigh*)

Wah kaoz... that amount of damage, machiam the dent was in my body. Immediately after witnessing this 惨不忍睹 image of my paddle, I drew my paddle up everytime 16 different timings comes into play... I know thats wrong, but not when i am dangerously sandwiched between 2 random "chopping knives" that can chop off my precious piece of wood any minute... At that instance, can't wait for the training to end..

I gonna try 拯救my piece of wood..Because it holds really special meaning...
Too emotional..?
Nope.
Not when its a piece of wood that was earned after almost 1 year of trg with SDBA piece of "iron".
Definitely not an over-statement when its something that battles through the water with you every weekends for teh past 1 year...
A 兵器that wards off the competitors and put us through competitions.
Something that would not be taken for granted, personally.

Then, Lacquer it to "seal" up and act as protective layer..
Next, "scar" will be there, so gonna undergo simple "cosmetic" enhancement... That can further prevent water from seeping in.

ESSAY One

Stuck in office AGAIN on a saturday...



sianz... 2 more of such saturdays in the month to come....

That means its gonna be another 2 weeks of 6 full day week for me.

Damn.... I dislike projects..

I never like projects since the schooling days. When teachers says "projects", to me, it means, Project the word to be accomplished nearing the due date.

So, my school project was always a last minute "rush hour" thingy.



Not to mention I'm on this project for a good 5 months since. Let it end soon bah!!!



I Love my Job, but I hate my work....

Ironic...



I'm always an advocate for 'Work-Life-Balance", so, a 5.5 day or 6 days week is not a job for me..



I dont need to earn so much money, ending up dont have the time or pleasure to enjoy it. I rather enjoy life as a pauper than to toll my life away with cash and golds stack in some bank account/vault.

As the olde folks always say, 生不带来 ， 死不带去

今日不知明日事

why build up a huge reserve and die the next day not knowing where those "reserves" goes.



I need my life back.

after all, we all only have 1 life.

Havent really "read" through and dicepher the lyrics before until like so many years later when i chance upon it again...

It truly depicts the wonders of frnship,not just any form of frenship, but a best friend.
Such a nice feeling if we managd to have someone whom we called our Best friend. Ie. , one and only, one whom you can share all your secrets, you can dont need to "pretend" or put up a brave front everytime.

Morning "Battles"

I know I wouldn't like Normal working hours again..

its such a "pain" to drag myself out of bed at 8am..
First battle of the day with the 'Z" monster and its already a almost losing battle..
cannot take own sweet time to get ready, cos battle with 'Z" monsters alredy "eat" into your time....
Then its the battle to get on crowded buses and trains...

*gosh*.. I almost forgotten when was the last time i drag myself out of bed on a weekday and preparing for work...

Fortunately its only for a one-day course....
Course = 9am - 5pm "working hours"...
At least that's something to look forward to...

for the dinner and the wonderful presents! save me headache from shopping for a laptop bag which i have been procrastinating for months!

Needless to say, it was Japanese cuisine.
What's more, Its Japanese Buffet with really Good Quality @ Minori Restaurant located in UE square

Finally found this other Japanese restaurant that serves 'Damn nice" Jap food.
Not to mention the coutless variety, and not compromising on standards!
Relatively Good & prompt service, nothwithstanding the endless ordering by us, though they do skipped a few items..
(eg: Kairen and my Miso soup nvr arrive throughout our 4 hours stay there, despite re-ordering it again mid-way through... Makes me wonder if Miso soup is actually the MOST Expensive item on their Menu?? Lol...)

Sashimi was the best... Presentation-wise 90%!
IMagine the chefs took the effort to arrange slices of Sashimis into that of a RoSE!

It's an expensive indulgence, but at least its "healthy".... Haha..

I still feel like eating Sashimi today though..... hmm....

Sucks...

waking up on weekends...

First time in dont know how many months, I just nuah on my matteress and go to sleep,
just before 10pm, and I realise something that perks me up from my view when i am lying down....

HOw to "motivate" yourself to wakeup on weekends...

Well, already weekends would give many of us a very good reason to pull one out of bed and start the day ahead...

But if you still can't seem to drag urself out from slumberland, here's a fool-proof and costless way to get myself up, without the snooze alarm having to ring more than once... lol

These things stays in my sight the very first instance I open my eyes in the morning..

this date, this time, 28years ago, I "saw" the world....

Great Begining...

It was an eventful weekend (8th -9th march)
Touched down on sat morning, and headed for the race at Seletar.
A last minute thingy to make up the numbers, and I was glad to be part of the team.

Great showdown on the first day of Qualifying and a first race of the year..
We got a good qualifying timing into the open club 20 crew semis.
Also got both 10 crew team into Inter corporate Finals and Plates Finals respectively.

It was really competitive and we know what are our chances in the finals/semis.
But it was really good results achieved on the first day of race.

The feeling of anxiety when donned on the "戰袍", the anticpation waiting to board, and the adrenalin when competing side by side trying to pull away from one another.
Some of you know how it feels. it never fades no matter how many races one's been to..

Fianl results:
Plates Finals : 1st
Finals: 5th
Semis : 4th
There's no excuse why we lost in ceratin race, and no sheer luck how we beat the rest in another. We identify our strengths and weaknesses, and we will be gearing up for the next meet.
We shall not let the "computer Giant" rules the corporate waters. Its time for financial Institutions to make a name on the river which we all are situated so closed to...

It might only be a "plate" this time to "share" among the team, but we are hunger for a medal each...

Colleagues been great, she can understand and speak very good english, cos its her major in college.

Tmrw the last day of training! No More stress! Teaching is not easy.. fortunately I didn't consider teaching...

Day 1

hardly any sleep on board...How to catch a good sleep anyway ona flight..

Touched down, and went Ueno, and Harajuku, to get the stuffs that my frens, sis and mum wanted to get from Jap.
It helps when i have some recollection of where to get them from the last trip in August.

Was so tired that once i checked into the hotel, i took a short nap first..
Then its out again for Dinner..
Still freezing weather in Tokyo..
According to the website forecast before i came over, it was said to be between 3 to 11 degree celsius.
But when touched down, pilot says it is-1 Degreee celsius! Thanks Lor...
Fortnately, still bearable, cos not windy, so its still relatively "cooling"

I think Tokyo night scene is the most happening so far.. full of people and noises, and peopel ktouting business on the streets, the likes of "yakuzas" along the streets.

All the bright colourful lightings and musics.

there'sa very strong reason to fly Cathay becos i need to take Jap Domestic Flight to Hokkaido, which can results in more savings....
Yesterday got a better quote at NATAS @ SGD686 though....
But missed it, thanks to my "理性" judgement....
see, classic example of how u missed out on Opportunity when you depend on 理性judgement.. Lol

And surprise surprise, this bargain of 706 not from NATAS though. (price-breaker instead)
cos i turned back after seeing the queue stretching like forever today.

Ok, brace myself for Tokyo next week.
It's for work this time.... Hopefully can still "steal" some time out to enjoy wonderful Tokyo again!
