haha.. FINALLY!!

This entry will have lotsa 'FINALLYs"

FINALLY (1), The blogspot script errors is fixed!! that means i can continue with posting!! yeah!!

FINALLY (2), my "Baby" has arrived!!
N.B. "Baby" refers to my beloved BLACK GETZ!!
It shall carries the "slogan" : No Power, Not Perfect, Just Classic BLACK!
ok, it sound familiar right? yup, its a "remake" of the radio teaser in Power98 sometime ago, if anyone noticed...

FINALLY (3), I see some monetary rewards in my job... minimal (trust me, very minimal... below 10%), but better than non mah!!!

FINALLY (4) i got my first cosmetics detailing on my Baby yesterday!
a total of 4 great stickesrs on my Baby!! namely, Astro Boy, Clavin (in Calvin n Hobbes), Getzclub.com sticker. hehe.. start with somethig cheap first.. I think i am getting addicted to all this detailing...

Well, these post will be worthless ( kind of) without pics... so look out for next post.. gonna be a PHOTO Blog of ..... MY BABY!!
No Power, Not Perfect, Just Classic BLACK!

oh yah, and for the final FINALLY (5), shall keep my promise and list down 10 weird random facts aboout me for the tag game...
headache man.. 10 random facts still alright.. must be wierd.. thats the tough part...
ok, for Jacq and Tresa, and all my frens who chance upon this uninteresting blog, here u go......
pardon me if they are not weird enuff, but at least they are facts..

(1) My ambition was to be a police officer/traffic police. Not those that sit in the office, but thoese out on the roads, driving and riding around... Even asked in a career fair not so long ago if i can be one with a graduate degree.. and of cos, they say "nope", qualification too high....

(2) after secondary school education, my choice of courses are always "weird" and deviate from teh norm. How so?
from Science stream in Sce school, i choose Commerce in JC, just to try out how it is like...
From JC, i chose Business instead of Accounting to try out something NEW again...

(3) I never took notice of my current fave sports, volleyball, until i catch the world women's competition broadcast over TV in 1999. now, it'spart of my life.. heehee

(4) To date, i have 6 volleyballs, 1 lost, 2 spoilt, 2 currently in used, and 1 never touched before sitting at a corner of my living room... (sorry, i neglected u =( ...)

(5) Owning a car never crossed my mind. Seriously, i dont know what made me made my purchase.. And i'm glad i did...

(6) I love rainy day on Christmas/Chirstmas eve ONLY... since dont know when, it give sme a chilled feeling and an "illusion" that its snowing in S'pore! so apt for the ocassion!

(7) I always try to tidy up my table, but dont know why, my table always looks messy even though things are nicely placed... the table just looks cluttered with different things that dont fit in at all...

(8) I loved to cook, but I dont know how to cook a decent meal! I just recite my "recipe" for any "new" way of cooking to my mum, and she always does it the best way!

(9) My bill payment are always one month late.. it has became a habit since my undergraduate days... gotten used to late payments, and still continuing.. only once in a while do i pay promptly before the cut off date!

(10) I never like taking afternoon naps even if i have nothing to do.. unless i am dead tired.
cos afternoon seems to be the most precious time of the day. After a nap, its already evening/night(cos i can't take short nap) ..!! That means a day is gone!!! That's why i nvr take naps...

don't know why my blog suffers from some "virus attack" of such..
I can't Create POST!!!!

and this post was created using some other tedious and unfriendly GUI (graphic user Interface)...

Thats explain why AGAIN, i vanished from blogging... Sigh...

Nad this is making me so irritated becos things havent been going myy way since last week...

Things are looking better recently, and i hope it will continue..

Hmm.. i gonna try to get this blogspot "working" again ASAP, cos i got so many things to post, but the stupid interface is so so so damn damn irritating!!

W.T.F. !!!!

sorry to frens who tag me fo rthe Taggy Game...!! Sure to get back once this blogspot piece itself together...
arrgghhhh.......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apologies for the long period of MIA from the World Wide Web of Blogging..

well, its been a good 1 month since i last update my blog, that i nearly forgotten my login details...

Ok, this entry shall explain my disappearance for the past month...

1) Work
(yes, the best excuse u can give for not doing any thing and attending to everthing)
but i am serious wor...
the past month, have been like a bunble bee, rushing to meet cut-off time and processing, cos its that period when my senior colleagues are clearing their leave! That leaves me to cover the duty of whoever is absent.
P.S. , now i REALLY know the True meaning of Management Trainee. In a bid to expose you to all sorts of jobs, so that you can be "deployed" to cover anyone's job when he/she isn't around!

Err.. not that i am unhappy with covering the jobs, infact, i think its a good learning experience to garnered skills in the different operations.

But just feel so Damn EXPLOITED!! Cos no pay increment AT ALL FOR THE PAST 1 YEAR!!!

well, at least I get my fair share of time off from work, since i managed to clear my Block leave!!

2) Too excited over a dream to be completely fulfilled...
yup, this one dream of mine shall conme true in the next 3 weeks!
Its a long wait! But i know it will be worth the wait!
Have been surfing around for info on the particular model of the car that is set for delivery in end sept - 1st week of oct.
For those keen, check out the club! --> www.GetzClub.com
and yes, its CERTAIN (guarantee plus Chop!), I will be getting my ride once the shipment arrives!!

3) An uneventful life so far..
yup, maybe more people will buy into this.
Cos my life now revolves around food, work, my beloved hobby!

hopefully, when i get my ride in the weeks to come, i will have a more exciting life lying ahead!
it wil be time for more seasports activities, blading, beach, eating out at the northern, eastern, southern and western sides of S'pore!

Hyundai UPDATES...........!!

Arrghhh......

Hyundai 1.3 Getz is OUT OF STOCK!!! (only green left)

And They are NOT BRINGING IN anymore of such model!!

Reason:
THEY ARE LAUNCHING A NEWER MODEL with a facelift from the 1.3 model!
It will be the 1.4 Getz!! (within the next 1 - 2 months..)

hmm.. is that something good? cos it comes at a higher price also....

The ironic thing is, i "booked" this new model 1.4 Getz even without having any idea how it will look like...
It can't be any bad right...???

Testing, Testing, 1..., 2... 3

yeaaahhh...!!!
went car-hunting today since morn.
hahaaa.. but only interested in one model/make of car.

Non-other than the Hyundai Getz!!

been to 2 Hyundai showroom and test-drive twice.

AAHHHHH!!! the moment i did my first test drive, I FELLL IN LOVE with IT IMMEDIATELY!!

Too bad, the colour availabilty are only restricted to BLACK, RED and GREEN.
And a new version of Getz gonna be out in the next month or so, with a slight face-lft.
so limited availability stock for this curent model.

Hence, the choice of getting other colours for the current model may not be that easy..
VS.

which will it be? hhaa....
After test-driving and info seeking on the necessary requirements and the financial requirements worked out, I think getting a car should be 时日可待

Hope the colour i wanted won't get sold out so soon... cos the statistic on the availabilty stocks are realy limited....

Can't wait to lay my hands on it! Literally!!

stay tune..............................

Stupid Sunday!

*%$@#,
Half a precious sunday gone....
All becos have to go Back to Office and do cleaner's job, and labourer's job...
Gone back to "hook-up" telephones lines, attaching power points for the department, all because of a big scale shifting taking place in the department, in order to accomodate more staffs...

what the heck... these are not our jobs lor.. wiring up Telephone lines that have been unplugged due to the moval..
What are the IT people for? What are the G.A. Department for??
@%$@#*
On top of that, still have to CLEAN the tables that were dirtired due to the moving of eauipments!
5 hrs spent doing all these rubbish!

Only managed to spend 2 hr at sunset bay before rushing down to do all these "stupid" jobs when the relevant Depts just couldn't be bothered to do. And the weather is SO DAMMNNN GOOD today!!!
@#$!$*&

Adding on to the confusion was when the moval staff took off all the stickers label after they did a BIG scale 乾坤大魔移！！！
And it doesn't helped when my HOD was so indecisive.

ARGGHHH... Stupid SUNDAY! @#!%$*^

Well, to make me feel happier, shall turn my mind to something that has been making me all excited for the past week(s)...

hmmm... which colours appeal more??

Potomac Blue ---------------------Green Bean

Hiphop red--------- --------------- Lilac Blue

shit..., i'm so undecided yet again...
Blue? Green?

P.S. Anyone whohave frens/relatives in Financing Company or car dealers, who can offer competitive rates, PLEASE Let Me know!!
Thank You! Terimah Kasih! 谢谢！

Fickle-minded??

The past week had been rather interesting in my job.
Cos i Finally got passed my Probation period of 1 YEAR and became an OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED Staff of the company!!!

YEAAH!!!! This means I finally have the authorithy and power to approve & verify transactions!!! Now it feels more like i am working and not like an intern kid...

Ok, one thing been puzzling me...
Human mind is sooooo fickle-minded... They never stick to what they say.

Real life example:
People around u will start persuading and encourages u to get a car.

And when u replied that u are seriously/really considering on getting a car, the response will be:
"huh??!! ARE u Serious? It's no use to get a Car! SO expensive"
"Not worth It!"
"You can't be serious, are u??"
"don't be mad, get a car???"

hmm.. these reaction surely doesn't match those words of encouragment and persuausion prior to the "announcement" of the decision..
Sigh.. are human mind so fickle-minded? they dont mean what they say..??
*tsk* , *tsk*, *tsk*

Well, i believed in living life to the fullest. you never know what could happen the very next moment.
Do what you think makes you happy. enjoy life while at your prime.
Why do we slog so hard?
so that we can enjoy life in the future?

And when we slogged hard enuff to accumulate a fortune, you realised that you are no longer in your prime. You have passed your stage of having fun, looking good, feeling energetic.
Are you happy then?

You have lost ur interest in things you have always wanted to do during those times.

You look back.

But you can't turn back time.

You REGRET.
You can' t live your life all over again

What's the worst thing in life?
Somebody tells me, its when you have no more money and still havent die.
But i retorted back.
Its when you are about to die, and realised you have too much money that you can't/have nowhere to spend. You have not had your hye-days in your prime...

Hmm... which one leh....??
TOYOTA VIOS

Sleek and beautiful.

Sports car design with rounded smooth edges.

Interior comfortably spacious.

"Short" Bonnet and car boot ideal for parking and "cutting" lanes.. lol

Price: Affordable. You wont believeprices can go so low....
One of the relatively lower priced cars around with sleek design and capacity.

Simply loved the design, especially the sports car-like design.

drool on it!

HYUNDAI GETz

The cheapest Hatch-back in town, with close resemblance to high-end Mitsubishi Colt, HONDA JAZZ and Toyota VITz.

Hatch-back cars are the popular choice recently...

High "Ceiling" especially suitable for tall people...

Compact and flushed car boot makes it even easier for parking. especially parallel parking.

Cheaper than a TOYOTA VIOS by over $10K plus!!

Gorgeous Babe!!

Whichever car/model/make it's gonna be, i must make sure its a choice of STRIKING COLOUR! BRIGHT RED, BRIGHT YELLOW, BRIGHT GREEN, BRIGHT BLUE, BRIGHT ORANGE! OR at the very least minimal, a Shiny BLACK.

My frens, which would you choose??
I need feedbacks. Lotsa it...
(p.s. ermm. minus the response of discouragment... thank you.. hehe)

*~*~* I just wan to fulfill a small dream and achieve a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment of owning something i can truly called my own... in my prime, and not jeopardising my future livelihood~*~*~

Price of a car: >40K
Sense of achievement & satisfaction: Priceless.

NEO Prints REVIVED!

Too Old for Neo-Prints??
Hhaa.. Think again. It's kinda fun to "re-visit" the good old memories of taking NEO Prints...
hmm.. my last grp neo prints were taken like some 8 yrs ago when i was in JC!!!!

The technology is really advanced, the neo prints machine now is so sophisticated and full of customization! Not to mention larger camera angles coverage too!
From Top Left(clockwise): Theresa, Tresa, Fiona, Eric, Huiyan, Adeline & Me!

You are never too old for Neo-prints!!!
We were like sua-ku at the shop. making tonnes of noise when the coloured "back-drops" really DROPPED down from the machine "ceiling", and getting into pose in time to be captured...

If u haven't got into a neo-print machine for ages like me, u will be surprised at the advancement and marvelled at the technology....

Do you know what is the MOST Popular food in Singapore??
Today, i found out that its LAKSA!!

To justify my claim, here's the "story".
Went to Maxwell market for dinner, and had chicken rice, after which a craving for Laksa came over me. So i walk down the stalls to look for it.
(p.s., i dont usually eat 2 servings of food, just that after a shack game of vball, i seem to have lost a few kilogramme around my aist and stomach ;P)

1st stop, the auntie said LAKSA Sold out. It's only 7plus..
So i walk around again, and found another stall that carries a sign with the Laksa pic.
You guessed it, the reply was the same " It's sold Out".
can you believed it??!! 2 stalls in the Maxwell market both had their LAKSA sold out??!!

Determined to lay my hands on a bowl of Laksa, i went across the road to Food Street over at Chinatown.

Finally! I located a stall that sells Laksa! No hesistation, went over and get one.
Bad news was..., it doesn't taste that nice.. rather bland though. But at least the "hum" saved the bowl of Laksa..

since i'm in Chinatown, decided to binge on some snacks as well. got this "Mini Suasage Combo" at one of the stalls along the street. Had once before and find it rather delicious, so i get one for myself, although i wasn't really feeling hungry anymore... (1 Chicken Rice + 1 Laksa Does gets me full...)

Recommend people to try it, cos its really DELICIOUS!!! Btw, the seller is a German himself and dressed in a Chef "suit" and hat.

After i got home, then i realised i have forgotten to get a bowl of the Shaved flavoured snow Ice dessert along the same street.... arrgghh.... Wasted...
nvr mind, I'll be back....

The FLU Bug

The flu bug is "attacking" the sunny Island of Singapore.

Apparently after the weekend, so many of my fren's/colleague/people i know, were down with flu/sore throat/cough, etc... Well, including myself.

Had a sore throat, but mainly attributable to the potent Kambing soup on saturday night..

Believe it or not, that was my first time in 25 years that i ever tried a "real" concoction of Kambing soup...
The soup is rather thick, and "not too bad" and before i knew it, i was already sipping up the whole bowl. I kenw it was gonna be bad for my throat, but didnt expect it to take effect on that very night few hours later..
Faithfully drinking more water, starfruit juice (yup, it's a little known but extremely effective remedy for sore throat!), lozenges, etc..

And silly me, still went to have Kambing Satay on sunday night!!! -_-"
Now i feel that it is begining to develop into a flu...

arrrgghh...
I hate to feel sick...

Quiksilver Open Beach Volleyball Championship 2005

Great day of fun, although the competitions for the day was marred with occassional heavy rain that came and go, which the organiser have to suspend the competition for some delay.
however , that didn't dampen the ompetitive spirit there. Every team was out on the courts the minute the cloud passed and the rain gets lighter.

Some statistics:
54 teams participated in the 4-on-4 mixed open category held this morning, while the rest of the categories will be played on Sunday.

Each team gets to play with 6 different teams for one set each for the preliminary/qualifying.

$70 registration for each team of 4, that comes with the following goodies together some snacks (hotdog bun, ice-cream) and drinks (red-bull, coke)

The imfamous Annual Quiksilver beach volleyball Championship Singlet that all beach volleyball players an some non-players would want to lay their hands on...

A rather useful "sling/carrying bag" with rather fine quality, that beats the normal Quiksilver plastic bag. This bag is reusable wor!
They make a good "Chap Pa Lang" bag to carry all ur stuffs to the beach.

However, these bags are more commonly seem sling across the ladies shoulder on a beach out session though. not so much for a guy... too bad...

A nice looking mug with the event proper printed.

Well, This "precious" volleyball is NOT part of the goodies though. (Got it after running thru 3 places before i get my hand on it last week...)
Just that a "Mark" can be "imprinted" on it to signify the participation of the event.
Hopefully, slowy over the years, the other band on the volleyball can have more "participation" being "imprinted"
For now, Its just "QuikSilver Open Beach Volleyball Championship 2005"
"Team V-Spirit"

Drool over bikini babes, board-shorts hunks.

p.s. Team V-Spirit will be there! Seeya! ;)

在世界中心呼唤爱

"Crying Out Love in The Centre of The World."
This is indeed a tear-jerker. Very touching movie and romantic one too. Catch it and you will find it worth the $10 bucks for a movie. Another one of the great Japanese Movie of the year, 'Crying Out Love in the Center Of tHe World" is a Must See, Must Watch Movie!

P.s. It's an 'Exclusive Showcase" screening only in Cathay Cineleisure. Btw, it's 2hrs and 18mins long. U might say, it's another sad love story. However, the way their love story was potrayed is one of its kind. Very Creative, very very touching. Go Watch IT!

DO YOU KNOW???
Off Peak Car (OPC) Scheme aka Weekedn Car Scheme enjoys:
1. An upfront rebate of $17,000 to be offset against the following items:

(a) COE Quota Premium
(b) Additional Registration Fee (ARF)

2. A flat discount of $800 on annual road tax, subject to a minimum road tax payment of $50 per year.

The POwer Of MediA!

Don't under-estimate the power of media/propaganda.

It can make or ruin a person.

1. Propaganda/Paparazzi killed the People's Princess of Hearts 9 years ago.

2. The media in one way or another, transformed a small island from a third world to an almost first world country appox. 40 years ago.

3. Propaganda has lead to the downfall of Philippines President, Gloria Arroyo.

4. The Media has soured the relationship between the China straits.

What can we learnt from just some of the examples cited above?
The Media is not somebody to mess with.

Apparently, a "known-to-be-philanthrophist" CEO doesn't understand all that, and trifle with the media.

RESULTS?

He loses all his "peanuts", made the public lose confidence in Charitable organisations, implicate the needys....

Despite the fact that the Board may have stepped down, but what's the use if the new Board with a new CEO that still draws "Peanuts Amount" for his/her annual salary?
Stepping down or not doesn't solved the matter.
Look at the core problem and solved it.

DO YOU KNOW?

On a lighter note,
do u know u can get a bottle of 500ml
ice mountain mineral water
for ONLY $0.30 @ Carrefour??!

Honda! Mazda!

Vivid Blue Pearl ---------------------Night Hawk Black Pearl
One of Honda's Latest series.
Honda Jazz, compact Hatchback.

When i came across one white one parked in the carpark below my block, wow... it eallylooks great!! Totally different from the normal hatchback that were previously released...

minutes later, another Blue Honda Jazz drove passed me along the carpark...

"This colour looks even more 'enticing'!!"

I like compact cars... Cars that looks small on the exterior, but spacious ion the interior.

Well, I know nuts about car.. Horsepower, RPM, I-DSI Engine, Compression Power, Engine type, etc...
All the above, i know nothing about the "standards", and how good is considered good.

It's basically the design, and comfortability that caught my eyes.

I mean frankly, why do we need a car with the speed of ferrari when we hardly go over the 120kmh on Singapore roads for more than 5 minutes...

Macha Creme Metallic----------------- Milano Red

Arrhhh...... if i were given the opportunity to choose any one of the above, i will have a ahard time deciding on the colour i should get...

Mazda 3 is another cheaper alternative, although the design and performance (according to avid car owners), are nowhere comparable to teh new Mazda 6.

Mazda 3 is indeed a perfect substitute for a Honda Jazz...

hmm.. if only i can strike TOTO...

wait a minute.., i dont even buy TOTO..... -_-"

2 days under the sun,

sustainining sun-burnt,

a bruise knee,

sore legs,

an exhausted body...

It's WORTH It though!
Cos it's for Volleyball... lol

'Push-up" Revelation

as mentioned in earlier post,
Here's the revelation for those who havent guess what i was driving up in that post.

Hmm.. talking about eauality between the sexes.

Btw, this is a local advert.

Push-Ups!

I am not trying to get provocative here... but saw a very interesting advert in a freely distributed entertainment magazine.

Well, in a modern world like this, I'm sure everyone heard and knows what's "push-up bras".

As the debate gets unresolved on equality between sexes..., the male counterparts got their share of "push-ups" as well... lol.
well, if u are thinking about push-up bras for men, nope, that's nothing surprising...

If you still hadn't go tany idea what's this "push-ups" for men is..., well, pick up a FREE copy I-S Magazine dated 17 June, or anticipate for the revelation in my next blog...

Akan Datang!
